ECVET Skills Platform Project Final Meeting was held in Istanbul

ECVET Skills Platform Project Project Management Meeting was held in Istanbul on August 04–05, 2022, with the participation of all project partners.

At the last meeting of the EVCET Project, which will end in August, the necessary work for the last phase of the project was planned and the project outputs were evaluated. The “ECVET Learning Platform” and the “ECVET Skills Value Platform”, which include the contents developed within the scope of the project and translated into the languages of all partners, were evaluated. The implementation process of the project, in which replication activities in partner countries are also planned, will end on August 31, 2022, and the project products will be available to users in all partner languages at www.ecvetskillsplatform.eu.

The main objective of the ECVET Skills Platform Project (2019-1-TR01-KA202-077191) is to develop a platform that will enable interactive communication between the business world and vocational education institutions; to define technical, social, and conceptual skills that will support the employment of CNC machine operators through this platform; and to prepare training content for these skills. The project is implemented within the scope of the Erasmus+ Programme Strategic Partnerships in the Field of Vocational Education and is supported by the European Commission through the Turkish National Agency. The project is implemented by the European Union and Foreign Affairs Office of the Istanbul Governorship, which is the coordinating organisation.

ECVET Skills Platform Project Conference was Held in Istanbul

ECVET Skills Platform Project Conference was held in Istanbul on 21.06.2022 with the participation of vocational education teachers, academicians, CNC machinery sector representatives and various non-governmental organizations.

At the promotion and dissemination conference of the project, which will end as of July, the completed project idea outputs, the use of the ECVET Learning Platform and the ECVET Skills Assessment Platform were introduced to the participants. The expectations of the CNC industry from the VET education community were also included in the conference, where the ECVET crediting and certification processes of the learners who successfully completed the training contents on the Learning Platform were explained. ECVET Learning and Skills Assessment Platforms will continue to serve users for 5 years.

The main objective of the ECVET Skills Platform Project (2019-1-TR01-KA202-077191) is to develop a platform that will enable interactive communication between the business world and vocational education institutions. The purpose of the platform is to define the technical, social and conceptual skills that will support the employment of CNC machine operators and to prepare the training content for these skills. ECVET Skills Platform Project Transnational Learning , Teaching, Training Activity and Study Visit was Held

ECVET Skills Platform Project Short-Term Staff Training and Study Visit was held in Dresden, Germany, hosted by BSW, between 09-13 May 2022. At the meeting, the ECVET Skill Platform Project and the Final version of the Skill Platform were introduced to the experts. In addition, the “Content Rich Learning Materials” produced within the scope of the project were examined and the ” White Paper for Student Participation ” was presented to the experts. During the study visit to the Training Institute of the BSW institution, which provides vocational training in the field of CNC, the participants shared their knowledge and experience.

In the next phase of the project, the Final Transnational Project Management meeting will be held
in Istanbul between 4th-5th of August 2022. The meeting will be hosted by the Governorship of Istanbul.

ECVET Skills Platform Project Fourth Transnational Project Management Meeting was held Online on April 20, 2022 with the participation of all partner institutions. At the meeting, student participation in the ECVET Skills Platform, which was developed within the scope of the project, was evaluated, as well as the exchange of ideas on the Training Content developed by the partners and to be included in the platform. In the meeting, while examining the Content Rich Learning Materials produced within the scope of the project, necessary plans were made on the White Paper for Student Participation.

The third transnational project management meeting of the ECVET Skills Platform Project was held in Valladolid, Spain on January 20, 2022, with the participation of partner institutions. At the meeting, ECVET Learning Platform, Training Content for CNC Operators and Content Rich Learning Materials, which are being developed within the scope of the project, were examined. Opinions were exchanged on the content of the White Paper for Student Participation.

ECVET Skills Platform Project Transnational Project Management Meeting was Held in Tirhala

The “ECVET Skills Platform – (2019-1-TR01-KA202-077191) Project, supported by the European Commission through the Turkish National Agency, within the scope of Strategic Partnerships in the Field of Vocational Education of the Erasmus+ Programme, was held between 01.09 2019 – 31.08.2022. In the ECVET Skills Platform project, Istanbul Chamber of Industry, Istanbul Technical University and Kartal/Yakacik Vocational and Technical Anatolian High School are among the local project partners.

The main objectives of the project are to develop a platform that will enable interactive communication between the business world and vocational education institutions; identification of technical, social and conceptual skills that will support the employment of CNC operators through this developed platform; development of the ECVET training curriculum and preparation of training contents in line with the defined skills.

The current state of the Training Curriculum was reviewed at the transnational project management meeting was held in Tirhala, Greece on October 27-28, 10/2021, with the participation of the project partner institutions. Ideas were exchanged on the design of Training Contents and Content Rich Learning Materials. Within the scope of project management and implementation, necessary planning was made for transnational project meetings and personnel training activities.

In the next phase of the project, Training Contents and Content Rich Learning Materials will be developed.

ECVET Skills Platform Project (2019-1-TR01- KA202-077191), supported by the European Commission through Turkish National Agency under Erasmus+ Programme Vocational Education and Training Field, has been implemented under the coordination of Governorship of Istanbul with 10 partner organizations from 6 different countries between 01.09.2019 and 31.12.2021. Istanbul Commerce of Industry (Turkey), Istanbul Technical University (Turkey) and Yakacık Vocational and Technical Anatolian Highschool (Turkey),  are the local partner organizations of ECVET Skills Platform Project.

As the main objectives of the project, it is aimed to develop an interactive platform enhancing the interaction between labour market and VET schools/instutions; to identify technical, social and conceptual skills supporting the employability of CNC machine operators through this platform; to develop an ECVET training curriculum and training contents in line with the identified skills.

During the online project management meeting held on 17.08.2021 and attended by all partner organizations, platform info-day events and voting process were discussed. The preliminary results of Skills Survey responded by sector representatives were presented. Partners exchanged their experience with sector representatives to increase the involvement by the sector. The next steps for developing the Training Content was planned.

In the next step of the project, Training Curriculum is planned to be available in all partner languages on project website and platform by October 2021.

ECVET Skills Platform Info-Days Was Held with the Participation of Sector Representatives and VET Representatives

ECVET Skills Platform Project (2019-1-TR01- KA202-077191), supported by the European Commission through Turkish National Agency under Erasmus+ Programme Vocational Education and Training Field, is implemented under the coordination of Governorship of Istanbul with 10 partner organizations from 6 different countries between 01.09.2019 and 31.12.2021. Technical Anatolian Highschool (Turkey), EUROMASC (Norway), KIST (Austria), AKETH (Greece), INFODEF (Spain), BSW (Germany) and SBG Dresden (Germany) and are the partner organizations of ECVET Skills Platform Project.

 

The main aim of the project is to contribute to the provision of high-quality vocational education and training through the promotion of skills match between the expectations of the labour market and vocational education curricula. For this purpose, ECVET Skills Value Platform has been developed. Through this platform sector representatives will value the 42 skills and units of learning outcomes defined for CNC Machine Operators within project. VET representatives will reach the Survey Results and all project outputs: the Skills Map, curriculum, training contents, content rich material and recommendation paper through this platform.

 

With the aim of introducing the platform and the survey tool on the platform and to start the voting process in Turkey, four info days were organized by Turkish partners of the project: Governorship of Istanbul, Istanbul Chamber of Industry, Istanbul Technical University and Yakacık Vocational and Technical Anatolian High School. During these info days held on the 21st, 22nd 24th and 25th June and participated by the sector representatives, VET representatives, VET teachers/trainers, NGOs active in CNC sector academicians and the university students studying Engineering, the project achievements were shared and the participants were invited to register the platform.

 

In the next phase of the project, Once survey results obtained completed in each partner country, a Training Curriculum for EQF Level 4 consisting of 10 modules and Training Contents will be developed and will be available on project website and the platform in all partner languages.

For this purpose, development of a platform that will allow interaction between labour market and vocational training institutions; identification of technical, social, and conceptual skills to support the employability of CNC machine operators through this platform; development of ECVET training curriculum and preparation of training contents in accordance with the defined skills are the main project activities.

Within the scope of the project, a focus group meeting was held with the participation of Machine Technology teachers/trainers and students from Küçükçekmece PAGEV Vocational and Technical High School, İsmet Aktar Vocational and Technical High School, Güngören Vocational and Technical High School, as well as sector representatives from TEZMAKSAN Machine and TEZMAKSAN Academy in order to assess the learning outcomes defined on the basis of the Skills Map consisting of technical, personal and conceptual skills defined for CNC machine operators on 15th January 2021. At the focus group meeting, where the Skills Map and learning outcomes were analyzed, we had the opportunity to learn the expectations and needs of both vocational training institutions and companies. We also received feedback and recommendations from both vocational training institutions and the sector on the skills and learning outcomes defined within the project.

In the next phase of the project, it is planned to upload the learning outcomes that will be updated in line with the feedback and suggestions from the sector and vocational education institutions after the focus group meetings held in all partner countries onto the ECVET Skills Value Platform and vote on the skills by the sector. For this purpose, ECVET Skills Value Info Days will be organized.
