The “ECVET Skills Platform” Project with contract number 2019-1-TR01-KA202-077191, carried out by the European Union and Foreign Relations Office on behalf of the Governorship of Istanbul, has been supported by the European Commission through the Turkish National Agency within the scope of Strategic Partnerships in the Field of Erasmus+ Program Vocational Education. The “ECVET Skills Platform” Project, of which the Istanbul Governorship is the coordinator, is carried out between 01.09.2019 – 31.08.2022.
The main objectives of the project are to develop a platform that will enable interactive communication between the business world and vocational education institutions; identification of technical, social and conceptual skills that will support the employment of CNC operators through this developed platform; development of the ECVET training curriculum and preparation of training contents in line with the defined skills. The third transnational project management meeting of the “ECVET Skills Platform” project was held online on 20 November 2020 due to the pandemic concerns. The preparations for the focus group meetings to be held at the meeting were discussed.
The current version of the ECVET Skills Value Platform has been reviewed. Moreover, the draft work plan of the Training Curriculum was presented and the opinions and suggestions of the participants were received. In the next stage of the project, focus group meetings will be held with the participation of CNC sector representatives, managers from vocational education institutions, teachers and parents.
